They will learn that God was with them and hear of God’s miraculous way of freeing them. This story helps us see just how important it is for us to share the good news with everyone.

Bible Story Focus: Paul Goes to Ephesus (Acts 19:1-22)
Lesson Overview:

Paul’s life had been changed and God had placed a desire in his heart to tell everyone about Jesus. The city called Ephesus was a place where many people received news and information. Therefore, Paul went to Ephesus and spent more than two whole years talking about Jesus to every person who would listen. Some people knew who Jesus was, but did not understand that Jesus had died for their sins and wanted a relationship with them. Other people were just learning about Jesus for the first time. The Holy Spirit helped Paul tell people everywhere that Jesus has a place in God’s forever kingdom for them, if they would believe.

In this two-part series, kids will review what they’ve learned in the Bible Basics Curriculum. In this lesson, they will be reminded that the bible teaches us who God is (Yahweh, our One True God) and how powerful his Word is. They’ll also learn that the Bible reveals our need for a rescuer and that Jehovah Jireh is our God who provides the rescuer through Jesus, Emmanuel.

Lesson Objective: Kids will remember what they learned about the Bible and our one, true God.

Lesson Overview:

In this two-part series, kids will review what they’ve learned in the From Old to New Curriculum. From the Old Testament stories of Noah and Esther to the New Testament accounts of Jesus and Peter, we see God’s story unfolding and learn more about him, from old to new, from age to age. Thus, this year’s curriculum was not just a collection of Old and New Testament stories but a reminder of God’s promise-keeping powers and sovereignty.

Lesson Scripture: Genesis 9:12-16, Book of Esther
Lesson Objective: Identify how God kept his promises to Noah and was faithful to the Jewish people by reviewing the story of Esther.
Lesson Application: I can look back at the Old Testament to remember God’s promise-keeping power and sovereignty.
