Care Ministry
The Care Ministry is designed to show love and concern to people who attend The Crossing, by people who attend The Crossing, through meeting physical and emotional needs. Because of the broad range of possible needs, the Care Ministry functions as an umbrella structure and teams of volunteers are developed to carry out the details of helping individuals and families. As needs arise, those serving on the ministry teams can anticipate being called upon to help out—anywhere from once or twice per year to two or three times per month, depending on the area of service. Within the various areas of the Care Ministry there is a place for nearly everyone at The Crossing.
If you see an area you would like to serve, please contact one of the ministry team leaders for more information. If you have a need in one of these ministries, please contact Care Ministry coordinator, Michele Mayer or one of the ministry team leaders.
Funeral Care
Funeral Care may address a number of areas, depending on the desires and needs of the family. Examples include prayer support, preparing the building for the funeral, providing a meal after the funeral, providing meals for family members, and housing for out of town guests if needed. The Meals Ministry and Prayer Ministry will be called on to assist, when appropriate.
