The classses offered this spring are:

  • Discovery Class (6 weeks)
    Teachers: The Pastors
    $10/person
The Discovery Class, taught by the pastors of the church, is designed to help you learn more about the biblical convictions and ministry values that drive The Crossing. This class is required for those who are interested in becoming a member of the church. Those who aren't ready to take that step can still enjoy digging into the Scriptures and meeting the pastors.

  • Financial Peace (9 weeks)
Facilitators: Scott Soumokil & Johann Geyer
    $99/person or couple
This video class is taught by nationally syndicated radio host Dave Ramsey and provides practical information that empowers you to make the right decisions with your money. Topics include eliminating debt, saving for the future, and giving.

  • Seminary 101: Hebrews to Revelation (8 weeks)
    Teacher: Nathan Tiemeyer
    $25/person,$35/couple, Membership Required
Seminary 101 is designed for those that want to go a bit deeper in their understanding of the Bible and theology. You’ll work through lectures from a Covenant Seminary class on your own, and we’ll meet each Wednesday night for further discussion. While we’re usually more familiar with the gospels and Paul’s letters, this session’s class will take a closer look at the rest of the New Testament, including Hebrews, the letters of Peter and John, and Revelation.

  • Christian Ethics (6 weeks)
    Teacher: Charles Anderson
    $25/person,$35/couple
Fertility treatments, divorce and remarriage, gay marriage—these are some of the issues we’ll explore in this class. How should we live? It’s not the first question Christianity answers, but it is a pretty important one. The Christian faith should form us in such a way that we reflect God’s pattern for how to live. What is a Christian perspective in these ethical areas? Join us for what should be an interesting, perhaps controversial, and hopefully formative class.

  • Single Moms (12 weeks)
    Facilitator: Kim Yeagle
The Single Moms group will resume meeting Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 30. We seek to foster authentic relationships within a community of single mothers, meeting weekly to support women as they work to raise their children and go deeper in their faith with Christ. Dinner and childcare provided weekly. For more information, contact thecrossingsinglemoms@gmail.com
