Epic Moments: Getting married, senior year state basketball playoffs, deciding to go to seminary instead of pursuing an MBA, finding out I was going to be a father.


Education: BA in Psychology from the University of Missouri, Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary.


Favorite Bands/Music: U2, Coldplay, Linkin Park, Temptations, T.I., and Justin Timberlake (I can't believe I admitted that one).


Best Invention: Bologna, the gas grill, and the iPhone.


Favorite Book(s): The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, Not The Way It's Supposed To Be by Cornelius Plantinga, The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, Desiring God by John Piper, The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis, Three Nights in August by Buzz Bissinger, multiple Louis L'Amour books.


Favorite Movies: The Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Last of the Mohicans, Bottle Rocket, Fletch, The Shawshank Redemption, The Royal Tenenbaums, Mona Lisa Smile (that will go in the same category as Justin Timberlake).

 

Favorite Shows: 24, The Office, Seinfeld, South Park, Battlestar Galactica.


Spare Time: Basketball, golf, fishing, working out, reading, gardening, poker, racquetball, cooking (usually with the grill).


Fear Factors: Blowing out a knee, venomous snakes, eventually growing back hair.


Biggest Frustration:
Lines, traffic, selfish people (kettle meet pot).


Passion: Pursuing God, helping students, Mizzou football and basketball, Cardinal baseball.


Motivation: That the lost are, in the words of Francis Schaeffer, "dying while they live."
