Veritas Study: Philippians

Weekly: Thursdays at 4:00 PM

Sometimes life is hard, isn’t it? How do we persevere with joy? How do we live with humility and selflessness? How can we find purpose in our hardship? This short, 4-week Veritas Study will look at what the Apostle Paul had to say about these questions in his letter to the Philippian church and what that has to do with us.

Veritas Greek Jamaica Trip

Veritas Greek students are heading back to Harmons, Jamaica in January 2025! We are so excited to partner once again with our friends from Won By One. If you're a college student involved in Greek life at Mizzou, join us for an amazing week alongside the local Jamaican community by participating in various serving opportunities and building friendships with other Mizzou students. Sign up now to reserve your spot!

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required with registration. The cost after the initial deposit will be TBD (estimated to be around $1800, many participants fundraise all or most of this amount).

Connected to a Local Church

Veritas is connected to The Crossing, a church right here in Columbia. This gives students the opportunity to participate in corporate worship, serve in various areas of ministry, and connect with people outside of their college communities. Serving in Veritas

Looking to take the next step in your faith? We believe that God wants us to play a part in his mission for Veritas. Take a look at some of the serving opportunities we have available and be a part of what God is doing here at Veritas.

Jamaica

Harmons, Jamaica is a remote village located in the Mid-Southern region of the Island. We partner with Harmons through an organization called Won By One to meet physical and spiritual needs of the community.

During both Winter and Spring Break, a team of students goes to Jamaica to build and repair homes, care for the sick at a local infirmary, serve in a local school and greenhouse, and distribute clothing and medical supplies. We hear over and over again how this trip impacts our students through being the hands and feet of Jesus to the community of Harmons.

Japan

Japan is one of the most influential, educated, and wealthy nations in the world, and yet less than 0.5% of the 125 million Japanese know Jesus. Our team of staff and students work in partnership with long-term missionary teams who are planting churches and college ministries in Nagoya, one of the major urban centers of Japan.

Throughout the summer we’ll help these ministries reach young people in the area through college ministry, conversational English classes, and children’s ministry. Invest one of your college summers to equip yourself for a lifetime of growth and ministry. You’ll be stretched in your faith, in your heart for the world, and will help Japanese students know Jesus in the process.
