Missions
God’s plan is to bring the gospel to all the nations of the world. In fact the book of Revelation says that he sent his Son for the purpose of “redeeming people from every tongue, tribe, and nation” (Revelation 5:9). God’s heart for people is so central to the Bible that missions must be a part of every Christian church. Since The Crossing began in the summer of 2000, we have increased our missions giving each year and will soon reach 10% of the annual budget.
We are committed to both local and international missions leading us to partner with a number of ministries and individuals that are working in a variety of ways to further the progress of the gospel. We believe that the diversity of their efforts reflect the concerns of God’s heart.
Kenya is listed separately from our other international partners because over time The Crossing has developed a more extensive relationship with local ministries in that country. We are now beginning to add pastoral training and education, church planting, and scholarships for secondary education to our ongoing work with Kenyan orphanages and elementary schools.
