The Reformation: January 12 - February 2
Teacher: Ryan Wampler
Inevitably, we ask at some point, “Why are there different denominations? Why don’t we have one church of all Christians?” The answer is partly due to events that unfolded when an academic argument was nailed to the door of a university building in the middle of Germany. The questions asked at that time, such as what makes us right with God? and what or who has the final authority in matters of faith? are still wrestled with today. This class will spend four weeks looking at why a reformation was needed, major figures and events in Germany, Switzerland, and England, and the relevance of it all to us today.
50 Plus is an ongoing class that meets every Sunday. Whether you're new to this group, or regularly attend - we'd love to have you. The topics change periodically. Most of our class is 50 and up, but adults of all ages are welcome to attend.
