We Will Feast: Food and the Story of Scripture by Emily Pilkington (8 weeks)

About This Book

ON DEMAND CLASS with SMALL GROUP OPTION
(Your people, your place, your time)

In Psalm 34, David writes the well-known words, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” This concept of tasting and seeing God’s goodness isn’t just a onetime metaphor, but a reoccurring image that tells the story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. In this eight-week study, participants will follow the themes of food and feasting from the Garden of Eden all the way to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb in the New Heaven and the New Earth. Put together, these images tell the story of a faithful, loving, gracious God that uses food to nourish his people not just physically, but spiritually as well.

There are several ways to participate:

  • Gather a small group of friends at a time and place that works for you
  • Create your own weekly Zoom group meeting
  • Complete on your own

The study includes weekly pre-recorded audio sessions with Emily Pilkington, a workbook with discussion questions and optional homework. Within a few weeks, you'll receive a workbook in the mail, as well as emails with links to Emily's audio recordings.

Registration closed on Tuesday, August 31, 2021
