Words That Breathe God’s Life Into Us | Psalm 111

In our last episode we looked at Psalm 111. But when I worship using the Psalms, I very often will spend several days in the same Psalm. Many Psalms have so much to offer and I find more each day that I spend reading and meditating and worshiping God in it. Our last episode looked at some helpful truths in this Psalm that give us confidence and security in our standing with God. But there are so many repeated words and phrases in this Psalm that can https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Timothy%203%3A16&version=NIV (breathe God’s life into our souls )when we bring them alive using our imagination (or what Paul referred to as “https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%201%3A18&version=NIV (the eyes of our heart)”). So I want to go back again in this episode and emphasize some of those words for our worshiping imagination of all that God is for us in Christ. Psalm 111 ESV 1 Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. 2 Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. 3 Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. 4 He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful. 5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. 6 He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. 7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; 8 they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. 9 He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! 1 John 1:9 ESV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Romans 11:36 NIV For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. Who can you share this podcast with?
