Pastor, Director of Crossing Students
Originally from Kansas City, Jeff has lived in Columbia since graduating from Mizzou in 2010. He spent the first four years of his working life in the professional world while serving as a volunteer in Crossing Students. In 2015, he joined the Crossing Students team in a full-time role to work with high school students. After completing a Master of Divinity from Covenant Seminary in 2020, he began serving as the pastor in Crossing Students. He and his wife, Jessi, have three children: Audrey, Ellis, and Hensley.
Agape Students & Adults Director
Amanda Redinger is from Springfield, MO. She grew up with a sibling with disabilities, who she considers one of her best friends. Amanda graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Educational Studies with an emphasis in Human Development and Family Studies and Social Work. She worked at Camp Barnabas, a Christian summer camp for people with disabilities, for three summers and has prior experience as a Direct Support Professional at ACT. Amanda has been a part of The Crossing since the beginning of her freshman year of college. She volunteered with Agape as a buddy, and her junior year she helped to start the Agape Grow program for individuals with and without disabilities. Amanda and her husband, Liam, love being a part of The Crossing and Agape Ministries. Amanda is passionate about including, accommodating, and building relationships with families impacted by disabilities, foster care, and adoption.
Middle School Co-Director
Anna West grew up in both Missouri and Connecticut, moving between the two states throughout her upbringing. She moved to Columbia in 2015 for college. During her college years at the University of Missouri, she attended The Crossing and began leading an 8th-grade girl's small group with Crossing Middle School. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education (emphasis in Social Studies and English). Now, Anna is the Middle School Co-Director for Crossing Students. Her role is to help 6-8th graders grow in their relationships with Jesus through teaching on Sundays, writing small group curriculum, and planning events.
High School Co-Director
Brooke was born and raised in Columbia and graduated from the University of Missouri in Spring 2020. She studied Journalism in college and has a passion for communication, teaching, and cultivating relationships with all people. Brooke went to Hickman High School and was involved in a Crossing small group her senior year. Throughout her time in college, she led with KLIFE and was heavily involved with Cru. She is looking forward to expanding and strengthening her Columbia roots to walk alongside students in their journey with Christ.
James grew up in St. Louis, MO, but he moved to Columbia in 2013 for school. James began attending The Crossing, where he joined a Veritas small group and started leading an 8th-grade guy's small group in Crossing Students.After graduating from Mizzou in 2017, he joined Crossing Students staff where he is continuing his passion for ministry with High School students.
Crossing Students Operations
Laura grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and moved to Columbia in 2012 for college. During her college years at University of Missouri, she started attending The Crossing and became involved in middle school ministry by leading a 7th grade small group. In 2015, she took on the role of Middle School Co-Director for Crossing Students. In 2020, she transitioned to the role of Operations Developer for Crossing Students and coordinates weekly & monthly events for the high school & middle school ministries, Camp Awesome & Rockies and manages other administrative tasks for Crossing Students. Laura loves spending time with her husband, Luke, time outdoors, reading and cooking new recipes.
