After graduating from the University of Missouri, Nathan entered into vocational ministry as a staff member with Cru. After a few years, he decided to further his theological education at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, where he received his Master of Divinity. He and his wife Rachel have been involved with The Crossing since its beginning in the summer of 2000. They married just a few months later and now have three kids. Nathan has served as a pastor since 2006. His desire is to help people grow in their understanding of biblical truth as well as the contemporary culture in which they’re called to live it out. His responsibilities include directing Crossing Twenties—The Crossing’s ministry to those in their twenties—and teaching in various contexts.

Originally from St. Louis, Amy moved to Columbia in 2005 to receive a degree in Elementary Education at MU. Throughout college, she attended The Crossing and loved being involved in multiple ministries. After marrying Ben, they moved to Kansas City for teaching positions, and she completed her Masters in Reading Education. Missing Columbia, they decided to return in 2013 and now have four children: Emma, Ellie, Zeke, and Luke. They also love leading an adult small group, being involved in their neighborhood, and traveling all over the world.
Amy has worked in a variety of part-time roles in Crossing Kids and continues to help with the elementary curriculum. She also serves as a leader coach for Crossing Twenties and her primary role is as the ministry's administrator. She loves using her organizational skills to help connect people, ensure events run smoothly, and support the mission of helping people know and love God more deeply.
