John is originally from St. Louis and has been serving as a pastor since graduating from seminary in 1989 where he earned a Master of Divinity degree. In 2005, John left his church in San Diego, California to pursue a second degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Reformed Theological Seminary. John serves as the Director of Counseling at The Crossing. He has been called to The Crossing to counsel, oversee and develop a broad range of care-based ministries.

Lynn Roush, LPC is a native of Chicago and grew up attending Moody Church as a pastor’s kid. She felt drawn to the field of counseling in high school and chose to study psychology and philosophy at Taylor University. After graduation, she returned to Chicago to pursue an MA in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where her course work included biblical and theological studies in addition to psychological and clinical training. There, she met Shay Roush, whom she married in 1997.
After spending several years at home raising their 3 children, Lynn started the professional counseling ministry at The Crossing in 2006. Her passion is to help people understand generational cycles of dysfunction, and work with clients to break destructive patterns in marriages and families.

Austin is a PLPC and pastor. He has pastored with Veritas, Crossing 20, and is now a full time counselor. Counseling is a significant tool that helped Austin experience the love and grace of Jesus, which led him to pursue professional counseling. He believes that your problems are worth hearing and understanding, and is committed to learning about where you find yourself, what it's like to be there, and where you sense you need to go. Alongside counseling, he is committed to walking with you through your struggles so that you can both know and experience the love, value, and dignity that Jesus gives and help you discover how to take the next step of faithfulness in your life.

Christine, along with her husband and two children, has enjoyed living in Columbia and attending The Crossing since 2011. Christine is a licensed professional counselor providing individual counseling to young women, primarily high school & college age, as well as young adults in their twenties. She also provides the initial clinical consultation for everyone seeking counseling through the counseling ministry. Christine received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, and her Master of Education in Counseling degree from the University of Missouri St-Louis. Christine began her counseling career by working as a middle school counselor before staying at home for a number of years with her young children.

Julie, PLPC, graduated from CCU with her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December of 2022. Prior to that she interned at The Crossing and Coyote Hill, seeing individuals and couples using SFBT, IFS, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and The Gottman Method. After spending 10 years in the medical field as a Respiratory Therapist, staying home with her children, and studying the impact of trauma since 2012, Julie decided to pursue her dream of becoming a professional counselor. Her areas of interest include dynamics of stepfamilies, foster care, adoption, therapeutic parenting, health care crisis, grief counseling, PTSD from childhood trauma, and resiliency.

Leslie has been a Counseling Intern with The Crossing since June of 2023 and enjoys applying her skills in a church setting as she and her husband Samuel raise their 3 young children. Leslie and Samuel's experience of working with young adults in college ministry has highlighted the growing need for Christian mental health services. Her own life-changing experience through counseling motivated her to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary. Leslie is passionate about stepping into the challenges people face and creating an opportunity for her clients to understand their story and learn new tools to navigate the difficulties of life.
