Volunteers serve in a variety of areas from greeting new families, holding babies, leading older elementary kids in a discussion, and more.
Volunteers serve about twice a month and are scheduled based on their availability. We invite you to build relationships with kids and families and help move our mission forward. Sign up to serve with us.

You will be assigned a consistent service time that works best for you, and we’ll work with your availability when adding you to the schedule.
Volunteers need to be in at least 6th grade to serve in Crossing Kids.
Yes, both are required to serve in Crossing Kids. Students under 18 years old do not need to complete a background check. Background checks must be updated every three years.
Depending on when you last served, you may need to update your training and background check. When you sign up to serve, you’ll receive an email with your next step.
Yes. We will do our best to place you on a team with the person you request. Keep in mind that some teams may be full.
You will hear from a staff member once you complete the application, background check, and training videos and attend a 1-hour in-person preview.
On the weeks you serve, you can check your child in for two services. Preschoolers will have a different activity during the second hour, and Elementary kids will attend Multiage, a class where they can hang out and play with their peers during their second hour in Crossing Kids.
If you would like to be considered for babysitter roles for special events at The Crossing, list it on your application or inform the person leading your 1-hour in-person preview.
