Church is more than something you attend—it’s something you experience with others.
Small groups are where church becomes personal—where you can build real friendships, grow in your faith, and walk through life with people who know and care about you.
No matter your stage of life or spiritual background, there’s a place for you.
What actually gives life meaning, purpose, and joy?
A relationship with God—and meaningful relationships with others.
Building relationships with God and others can be hard in a fast-paced, do-it-yourself world. But when we take time to commit to a small group —walking alongside others and making space to connect with God— we begin to experience the kind of life we were created for, and stay grounded in what matters.
In a small group you will:
Small groups are a place to come as you are and grow over time.
A relaxed, one-time gathering where you can hear what small groups are like and ask any questions you have.
You’ll meet our staff and others who are new – no pressure, no expectations.
When you're ready, we’ll help you find a group that works for your stage of life and schedule.
Small groups develop meaningful relationships and grow your relationship with God. It’s not only about learning, but also about being known, challenged, and growing together - becoming the kind of people God uses to bring his presence into our neighborhoods, families, and friendships.
If you’d like to hear more about small groups and how to join one, come to one of our Small Group Previews on Sundays, August 16th, 23rd, or 30th.
Most groups meet biweekly primarily in homes for 1.5-2 hours. A typical gathering includes:
Every group has its own personality, but the goal is the same: growing in Christ together.
Groups meet regularly September-May. They take a break from meeting regularly over the summer but often meet approximately once a month for social gatherings.
You’re never locked in — but we do encourage consistency because deep relationships take time.
That’s completely normal. Most people join a group without knowing anyone else. Groups are designed to be welcoming spaces where new relationships can form naturally.
It may feel awkward at first — that’s part of meeting new people. Most members say the awkward stage passes faster than they expect.
Not every group is the right fit for every person — and that’s okay. Let us know, and we’ll help you explore another option.
Our goal isn’t just to place you somewhere. It’s to help you find a community where you can grow.
We offer a variety of groups, including:
Some groups offer childcare, while others do not. You can let us know when you sign up if childcare is a priority for you.
Life happens. Groups understand that vacations, work schedules, and family needs come up.
However, growth and trust build through consistency. If you miss occasionally, that’s okay — but regular attendance helps you get the most out of your group.
You’re not alone — many people join a small group with little or no background in the Bible. You don’t need prior knowledge to participate, and no one expects you to have all the answers. Small Groups are a place to learn, ask honest questions, and grow together in following Jesus. Whether you’re brand new or have been reading Scripture for years, there’s room for you.
We are so excited you want to join a group. The first step is to attend a Small Group Preview.
Small Group Preview is a one-time Sunday morning class where you’ll learn more about what Small Groups at The Crossing are all about and how they work. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions and take your next step toward community.
Small Group Previews are held at the beginning of each semester. Fill out our Interest Form to be among the first to hear when registration opens for the next class!
That’s normal. Almost everyone is.
Courage is often the first step toward meaningful community.
